Pyfer a Great Candidate!
The College Republicans, which by the way is a fantastic organization, hosted Tami Pyfer who is running for re-election for a seat on the city council. Pyfer is on fire! She has done alot for this growing city. She talked about future plans, past accomplishments and a little bit about herself. She even talked about Wal-Mart. The best thing I like about her is that she is not afraid to do what is right and ask the not-so-popular questions that NEED to be asked.
(The College Republicans do not support any one candidate. This was just a great way for us be well informed)

Every time I hear Tami Pyfer speak I think of an old JFK quote:
"Victory has 1,000 fathers while defeat is a bastard and an orphan"
Also notice it is only Pyfer singing Pyfer's praises.
Listening to Tami you'd think she was the primary factor in the county-wide ambulance system, balanced budget, and USU winning the 2005 Big West Men's Basketball tournament.
All the while the city has a sewer system that is - I kid you not - 100 years. This has been ignored for decades and continues to be ignored. The city is still in financial crisis despite what Pyfer may tell you (remember the whole Municipool closing controversy? Traffic remains unsolved and growth has no cohesive strategem.
Mark Karpowich gets my vote. He has a better understanding of how the city operates and the immediate needs than any other candidate, Pyfer included.
And I hope your sloppy patronization stops.
